My main work is a large, multi-country assessment of state redress of institutional child abuse. I have conducted interviews, so far with stakeholders in Ireland, Canada, Australia, and plan to conduct a further round of interviews in New Zealand in early 2017. I am now writing a book on montetary redress programs.
The first paper from this research stream is “Two models of monetary redress: A structural analysis” and is available at Victims and Offenders.
In the longer term, I am writing a series of papers on weak-form review from the perspective of a republican account of freedom.
Further, I am working with Stephen Galoob of the University of Tulsa on a article concerning state wrongdoing and reparations in the context of ‘voluntarist’ theories of political obligation.
